
United Way of Hood County has partnered with the City of Cresson, the Cresson Pods, and United Way of Hood County community partners to create a safe space that promotes a healthy environment focused on fostering personal growth, cultivating meaningful relationships, and encouraging community involvement.
After identifying needs in the Cresson Pod Community, United Way of Hood County was gifted one of the homes to host engagement, educational, and empowerment opportunities from all of our partner agencies. These programs will consist of:
- Volunteer Opportunities
- Service Projects
- Budgeting Classes
- Cooking Classes using only ingredients from local food pantry distribution
- Day Camps for Boys
- ESL Classes
- Resume Writing
- Job Preparedness Workshops
- Tutoring for students after school
- Life Skills Classes
- Community Leadership Group
- GED Preparedness Classes
- Freezer and Healthy Eating Club for Kids
- Mobile Library
- Outdoor Learning Opportunities
